Where are my database passwords stored?
On your device, in the iOS Keychain, marked to stay on this device only. They are never uploaded to us or any third party. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Does ShortcutsQL send my data anywhere?
Only to the PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB servers you connect to, over an encrypted SSL/TLS connection. The app has no backend of its own and collects no data.
My connection fails — what should I check?
- Confirm the host and port are correct and reachable from your device's network.
- Make sure your database server accepts SSL/TLS connections.
- Double-check the username and password, and that the user has access to the database.
- If your server is behind a firewall or VPN, ensure your device can reach it.
Can I run queries from the Shortcuts app?
Yes. Saved queries are exposed as Shortcuts actions so you can include them in your own automations.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a saved query or server to remove its stored details and credentials, or delete the app to remove everything from your device.
